     Student Activities Center (SAC)  
SAC The Student Activities Center, located on the academic mall, serves as the focal point of the university. Events at our venue include lectures, conferences, movies, concerts and annual recognition ceremonies that bring together all members of the Stony Brook community. While the SAC is primarily intended for the purposeful interaction of our students, we enjoy hosting off-campus organizations whenever space permits. Our building exceeds ADA standards by offering multiple wheelchair access points, and all of our spaces are wheelchair accessible.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)   
CAPS Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers free and confidential services to enrolled students. Services include crisis intervention, brief counseling for individuals, couples, and groups; consultation to students, faculty, staff, friends and parents; medication management; and assistance with referrals to community resources. 
Redbook  
campus Stony Brook University is committed to a safe campus community and respectful learning environment. Professional staff and faculty members are often the first to notice a student in distress. These guidelines are intended to provide resources to help you respond when you recognize a student in need. The purpose of this resource is to provide some of the “need it now” information and suggested courses of action. 
Office of Equity and Access  
equity The Office of Equity and Access (OEA) is charged with ensuring that the Stony Brook University experience provides equal opportunity and is safe, welcoming and free from discrimination. OEA serves the entire campus community, including Stony Brook University, Stony Brook Medicine, the Long Island State Veterans Home and Stony Brook Southampton.

Within our commitment, we have developed preventative services, investigative services and resources for victims of sexual violence. 
Stony Brook University Student Health Services  
Stethescope Student Health Services at Stony Brook University is your on-campus source for meeting your primary healthcare needs. Our staff of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, health educators, laboratory technologists and technical and administrative staff are dedicated to our mission of providing students with quality, cost-effective medical care, and the services necessary to optimize preventive health and wellness. 
Stony Brook University Career Center  
career The Career Center at Stony Brook University exists to educate students and alumni about the career development process and industry options, empowering them to make informed career decisions. The Career Center prepares students and alumni for experiential learning, employment and further education.  
Recreation and Wellness  
rec center Recreation and wellness services provided by Stony Brook University enhance the quality of life for students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to recreate in a safe, professional, fun and friendly environment. Through inclusive and intentional design, our programs and services foster development in all aspects of wellness and empower participants to positively transform their lives.  
Interfaith Centers  
Interfaith The Interfaith Center reflects the many diverse religious traditions on our campus. It is the representative organization for chaplains and campus ministry staff who are officially selected representatives of religious denominations and have a major concern for and a working relationship with the University. Worship services are held and opportunities are provided to learn about and appreciate diverse religious traditions.
Ombuds Office  
ombuds The Ombuds is an impartial and independent resource for any individual within the university community seeking assistance or information in pursuit of the resolution of a concern or problem related to their life or work at the university. Speaking with the Ombuds will increase your awareness of alternatives available to you for resolving work or academic-related concerns. The Ombuds Office always strives to enhance an individual’s capabilities to deal effectively with situations on their own. If further assistance is requested, additional information can be gathered on your behalf and referrals can be made to other resources and support services.
LGBTQ* Services    
lgbtq LGBTQ* Services strives to provide opportunities to raise awareness and educate about gender, sexuality and LGBTQ* communities. We strive to create a welcoming, supportive and inclusive campus where students are able and encouraged to bring their entire selves to the table. 
Campus Dining  
Food truck We know that students work hard, and it is our goal to provide them with nutrition programs that are both healthful and delicious. Our campus dining service strives to offer culinary creations that replicate homemade comfort foods, but with a healthy twist. Founded in 1969 as a complete dining service provider, CulinArt operates at more than 250 locations and continually breaks ground in higher education dining.
